Pantone has named their 2017 Colour Of The Year as Greenery – a bright shade of yellowey green, which Pantone describe as "refreshing and revitalizing" and "symbolic of new beginnings." Pantone's colours are selected each year to reflect the cultural mood. This year is one about healthy living, rejuvenation, and reconnecting with nature – a perfect anecdote to the tumultuous political and social environment of late.
We saw dark & luxurious leafy greens trending a couple of years ago – but this shade is altogether more fresh. It works well with the current darling of colour, blush, as a great calming contrast. It also works well paired with any other shade of green. This helps to layer up the colour scheme and avoid a 'matchy matchy' look!
